Your connection options.

Keep the game on the computer you own and give its screen more room. The available connection depends on your computer and its video output.

Computer sharing, platform by platform

InfinitumView Companion for Mac is in testing, with macOS 14 or later as its minimum. It shares a selected window or display and supported app audio over your local network. The matching Vision Pro update and companion are not public releases yet.

The Windows companion targets Windows 11 or later and is in development. Linux targets Ubuntu 22.04 or later and remains planned. Native capture and real-device validation are still required for those platforms. See the app catalog for current availability.

Steam Deck and other handheld PCs

Valve's Steam Deck Docking Station provides external display connections, including HDMI. An external video output can be the source for a compatible HDMI/UVC capture chain, with Apple Vision Pro Developer Strap at the headset.

An Ubuntu target does not establish SteamOS support. InfinitumView Companion has not been validated on Steam Deck, and the docked capture configuration also needs testing with the exact hardware and video mode. Other handheld PCs need their own output and operating-system checks; a similar form factor does not establish compatibility.

Games and controls stay with the source

InfinitumView does not provide a Steam account integration, Steam Link client or game download service. Future direct Steam features are planned / pending approval. Use your source computer and its connected controller, keyboard or mouse to control a captured or shared game.

Companion sharing does not forward remote controls. Capture restrictions, game behavior, hardware and network conditions affect results. Current development focuses on stable video and audio before making broader gaming-performance promises.
