Retro consoles
A careful path to a bigger view.

Classic consoles can join a modern capture chain, but the converter matters. Start with the video output your exact console actually provides.

Start with the generation

Wii U: the console provides HDMI output, making it the most direct Nintendo legacy path. It still needs a capture device and video mode accepted by the current HDMI/UVC route.

Wii: use the correct Wii AV or component connection for the console, then a reputable converter or upscaler to HDMI before UVC capture.

Nintendo GameCube: output options vary by hardware revision, region, cable, and accessory. Many setups begin with composite or S-Video; some console revisions support a digital/component path with specialized hardware. Verify the model before buying anything.

Nintendo 64: this is an analog source, commonly composite and, depending on region/hardware, S-Video. It needs a converter or upscaler that accepts the source and produces a stable capture-compatible signal.

Older systems people still play

NES, Super Nintendo / SNES, Sega Genesis / Mega Drive, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Atari, TurboGrafx/PC Engine, Neo Geo, and other classic systems can use composite, S-Video, component, RGB, VGA, SCART, or even RF depending on the console and region. There is no single universal adapter. RF-only sources may need a tuner or console-specific modernization before capture.

A low-cost converter may add delay, stretch the picture, mishandle 240p, or drop the signal. Choose equipment designed for the source format and preserve the original aspect ratio when possible. InfinitumView accepts the final compatible UVC video input; it does not correct every upstream conversion problem.

What “listed” means

These names are included so owners can find honest connection guidance. They are not claims of native support, partnerships, endorsements, or guaranteed compatibility. Keep controls connected to the original console. Use lawfully owned games and hardware, and do not use the connection chain to defeat HDCP or other access controls.

Before buying adapters, identify the console model, region, connector, desired aspect ratio, and the input formats accepted by your capture device. For setup help, contact support@infinitumlive.com.

Match the converter to the console.

Then confirm the final HDMI/UVC format is compatible with your Vision Pro capture path.
